TecMinho is promoting the seminar “The importance of Industrial Property and Biotech Patents” that will take place at the Library’s B-Lounge of the University of Minho, Azurém on the 24th of July.

This event, which is associated with the several initiatives that TecMinho is doing under the Project VIP4SME, aims to present to companies the advantages of protecting their creations, as well as the several ways of protecting them. It will also be presented all the requirement associated with the patents protection for biotech inventions.

Questions such as “what is the advantage of an international trademark?”, “how can I protect my design in Portugal” or “How can I protect an active ingredient?” will be answered during this session.

For this purpose, we will have the presence of Anabela Carvalho, Patentree’s Qualified European Patent Attorney, that will explain the Do’s and Don’ts of Biotech Patents.

Teresa Martins and Marco Sousa, from TecMinho, will present the VIP4SME Project and the requirements and advantages of IP.
