On October 9^th, it will take place a workshop on "Software Patents", focused on presenting the requirements for the protection of computer implemented inventions, and in particularly, the changes that are taking place in Europe and USA.

Held under the "Vip4SME" European project, which focus on the valorization of Intellectual Property developed by Small and Medium-sized Enterprises, this event is targeted to all SME’s, Spin-offs and researchers on computer sciences and related fields, who are looking for more information on how to protect their results.

For this purpose, we will have the presence of Gonzalo González Rodríguez, Patent Examiner at the European Patent Office (EPO) and Luís Ferreira, Patentree’s Qualified European Patent Attorney.

This session, which results from a partnership between TecMinho, Startup Braga and the Center for Computer Graphics, with the collaboration of the European Patent Office and Patentree, will take place in the Auditorium of the Computer Graphics Center of the University of Minho at 3p.m..
