The Annual ASTP-Proton Conference, the Association of European Science and Technology Transfer Professionals, took place last week in Budapest. A total of 220 professionals from universities and research institutes, companies, investors and political decision-makers, including representatives from the European Commission and the European Investment Bank were present.
During a period of 3 days such topics as exit strategies for spin-offs, investment in proof-of-concept, social innovation, impact of the unitary patent and the influence of Brexit on European projects were discussed.
On the 1st of June, after the General Assembly, the new President of the Association, Henric Rhedin, from the University of Gothenburg (Sweden) took office, succeeding Marta Catarino, from TecMinho.
