The design of an innovative knowledge matrix for the textile industry was the result of the TexMatrix Project meeting carried out in Maribor (Slovenia). Based on this matrix, a study of benchmarking on Knowledge for Innovation and Competitiveness will be developed with the participation of textile companies in the 4 European countries involved in this Project.
This knowledge matrix for innovation (KMI) is an innovative concept for the quantification of intangible assets of textile companies, consisting of a diversity of areas and analysis criteria of innovation, such as strategy and innovation culture, resources used in innovation, portfolio of innovation projects, industrial property rights, planning and innovation results, knowledge and idea management, etc.
Based on the results matrix, an instrument of the Knowledge Matrix for Innovation and Competitiveness of textile companies was developed, which will allow for the study of benchmarking in 50 companies from this sector in the four participating European countries: Portugal, Slovenia, Italy and Romania.
